Seafret

After an opportunity encounter at an open mike night simply beyond their hometown of Bridlington, East Yorkshire, U.K. in 2011, the sweeping folk duo referred to as Seafret was created. Guitarist Harry Draper and vocalist Jack port Sedman had been impressed with each other’s shows, and quickly made a decision to interact as music artists. They lived near to the coastline, as well as the name “Seafret” referenced both mist that rolls in through the North Sea through the summertime, and a pun on the electric guitar fretboard. In 2014, after attaining some traction on the web, the duo produced the proceed to London. Departing their hometown instilled their songwriting with a larger sense of reduction, both from the coastline that they had developed with and their particular family members. In September from the same season they released their debut EP, Provide Me Something, via Lovely Jane Recordings. They spent over 2 yrs writing music jointly ahead of relocating to London; such an abundance of materials allowed these to quickly stick to their debut with another EP in the beginning of 2015, the aptly entitled Oceans. They spent nearly all 2015 touring, including a string of restaurant performances where they performed with simply an classical guitar.
