Saturn Never Sleeps

Saturn Never Sleeps formed in ’09 2009 for improvisational shows focused on jazz giant Sunlight Ra. A cooperation between Afro-futurist Philadelphians Ruler Britt (creation) and Rucyl Mills (vocals, consumer electronics; formerly from the Goats), Saturn Hardly ever Sleeps rapidly created during the period of the following 2 yrs. They set up the SNS label, performed festivals around the world, and enhanced their audio — a variety of left-of-center R&B with experimental digital music. The initial SNS discharge was acknowledged to Ramon Tejada, a Britt/Mills pseudonym that yielded an EP of bristly instrumentals (Fine sand Can’t Tell Period), which could have been in the home in the Mille Plateaux or Plug Analysis labels. Some EP-length samplers and various other short-form releases, a few of which highlighted other artists, implemented, while Saturn Hardly ever Sleeps proved helpful their method up for an record, Last night’s Machine, released in August 2011 as a free of charge download. 10″ vinyl fabric and CD variations followed.
