The Novel Ideas

New Britain indie folk quintet the Book Ideas focus on a rich mixture of pastoral, rural country-folk and roots-based, plaintive Americana that invokes brands like Bon Iver, the Avett Brothers, as well as the Lumineers. Shaped in Newton, Massachusetts across the abilities of Daniel Radin (electric guitar, vocals), Danny Hoshino (pedal metal, electric guitar, vocals), and a spinning ensemble of instrumentalists and performers, the band released their debut long-player, State Hello, separately in 2008. They documented their self-released nine-track follow-up, House, within a barn in New Hampshire in 2012.
