Jolaurlo

Italian punk act Jolaurlo shaped in 1999 in Acquaviva delle Fonti, close to Bari, their 1st line-up made up of Marzia Stano about vocals and keyboards, guitarist Gianni Masci, Antonello Chinderni about bass, and Valentino Caporizzi about drums. Until 2004 the music group took part in a few important competitions; opened up some gigs for famous brands Prozac +, 24 Grana, and Articolo 31; and documented several demos. For the time being, the lineup extended with the entrance of Rossella “Poppy” Pellegrini on electric guitar, while Bruno De Sanctis and Gianluca Rimei became a member of the music group on bass and drums, respectively, the last mentioned to be changed by Paolo Difilippo. Following the entrance of Leonida Maria on percussion, in 2005 Jolaurlo released their initial record, D’Istanti, whose music made an explosive combination of punk, ska, and consumer electronics. Jolaurlo’s sophomore work, InMediataMente, followed 2 yrs later. At that time the band acquired relocated to Bologna, as soon as again transformed its drummer (the function was used by Tore Nobile). In 2008 the music group took component in the annual Primo Maggio gig in Rome, perhaps one of the most important live occasions in Italy.
