Santiago Salazar

Low-key techno evangelist Santiago Salazar dates back being a DJ to the first ’90s, when he spun in his indigenous East LA, California. Through the early 2000s, he relocated to Detroit, Michigan, where he dropped along with the city’s revered Underground Level of resistance collective. His amount of time in the Electric motor Town entailed activity with UR’s Los Hermanos and Galaxy 2 Galaxy. In 2006, he came back to the Western world Coast and began the labels Main People and Ican and co-founded Historia con Violencia with Juan Mendez (Silent Servant). In 2015, after several 12″ produces, Salazar finally released a debut recording, Chicanismo — an unsurprisingly amazing and singular group of machine spirit — for the Pittsburgh-based Like What You Experience label.
