Royal Ruckus

The Bakersfield, CA-based Royal Ruckus met up in January of 1998 between Michael Walker (aka Flatline) and Jamey Bennett (aka Chunjay). Using their Christian lyrical inspirations and throughout silliness, the musical foundation of hip-hop can be attempted a cross of punk, ska, techno, and other things that they could toss in. Debuting in 1998 using the recording Microphones, the self-release of Like Us or Keep Us adopted in 1999, and finally the EP of Not really What You Anticipate in 2000. A “best-of” Royal Ruckus was also released that same 12 months entitled Sweatin’ towards the Oldies.
