Rarely seen with out a drink in a single hand and a smoke in the other, comedian Ron White has already established a career which has taken him in the cassette racks of truck stops to the world of stadiums and show films — yet even while they’ve called him “Tater Salad.” The misconception throughout the Fritch, TX, native’s well-known nickname is due to a flippant remark designed to an arresting officer. He informed the official that he previously once before damaged the law beneath the sinister alias of “Tater Salad,” the official thought him, and it had been permanently on his arrest record.
