Roger Bell

b. Roger Emerson Bell, 4 January 1919, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. In his early teenage years Bell performed drums before taking on the cornet. Along with his sibling, Graeme Bell, he performed locally and for some time led a music group which his sibling eventually became head. Bell travelled to European countries with the music group during the past due 40s and early 50s and afterwards in that 10 years returned to music group leading in Melbourne. Among music artists who proved helpful under his command had been Len Barnard and Ade Monsbourgh. Bell continued to be energetic in jazz, composing in addition to playing, through following decades.
