Rocketship Recreation area is one of the twangy pop tasks Brooklyn-based vocalist and songwriter Josh Kaufman busied himself with in the first 2000s. Supported by a big cast of individuals, including Mike Phillips, Eric Jackson, Brian Kantor, Kevin Seafood, Rob Burger, Bryan Devendorf, Travis Harrison, Andrew Fuller, Jordan Crowell, and Kaufman’s fellow Mansfields bandmate Annie Nero, Kaufman developed a heartfelt, infectious audio that nodded to serves like Wilco, An Position, and Beachwood Sparks. Rocketship Park’s debut record, Off & Away, premiered on Critical Business Information in 2008.
