Robin Flower & Libby McLaren

Robin Bloom and Libby McLaren have already been breaking ground using their book fusion of Irish, Cajun, bluegrass, and American swing, to create progressive bluegrass. Within their tracks, they yearn for reference to kindred spirits in different forms: she-wolves, faraway females, grandmothers, conscientious interveners in cycles of mistreatment, courageous interveners in bigger politics dramas, and passionate lovers. Flower’s profession started with auspicious laudatory evaluations from The Town Tone of voice, Frets, and Billboard. Before Blossom, McLaren had used her wealthy keyboards, clear tone of voice, and hearing for instrumental interplay to saving, set up, and accompaniment for peers as the Roches, Ronnie Gilbert, and Holly Near. Teaming with flatpicker Nancy Vogl, Blossom released her 1st album, A LOT MORE THAN Close friends (Spaniel, 1979).
