Raja Kumari

Fusing classical Indian traditions with hip-hop, Los Angeles-based songwriter and rapper Raja Kumari bridges East and Western into a design she phone calls “BollyHood.” With her “Slum God” change ego, Raja Kumari wanted to be always a part model for Asian-Americans on her behalf debut, The APPEAR, while getting Indian culture towards the mainstream with culturally genuine imagery. Created Sveta Rao in Claremont, California, the Grammy-nominated musician was raised studying Indian traditional music and dance, falling deeply in love with hip-hop works just like the Fugees at a age. After university, where she majored in South Asian spiritual studies, she made a decision to pursue a profession in music. Her preliminary breakthrough was included with songwriting. She co-wrote FALLOUT Boy’s strike “Generations” — that she gained a BMI Pop Award for songwriting in 2016 — aswell as Iggy Azalea’s “Transformation YOUR DAILY LIFE” offering T.We.
