Pushing Up Daisies

Sodium Lake City’s Driving Up Daisies (never to be confused using the Canadian action from the same name that was mixed up in mid-’90s) comprises brothers Gary (vocals) and Daryl McLaren (bass), Mike Morgan (electric guitar), Ian Peterson (electric guitar), Scott Witaker (keyboards), and Kel Perfect (drums, ex-Anima Nera). Showcasing a groundbreaking type of intensifying hardcore filled up with atmospheric instrumental areas, melodic passages, clean-sung vocals, as well as the unusual theremin, the band’s eponymous EP was documented in 2001, but just given a restricted released in 2003.
