THE BRAND NEW Zealand band Pop Mechanix formed in Christchurch in 1979; originally dubbed Splash Alley, the group comprised vocalist Dick Driver, guitarist Paul Mason, bassist Paul Scott, keyboardist Chris Moore. and drummer Kevin Emmett.
