Ponytail

A four-piece multi-style rock and roll act that drew evaluations to Deerhoof and Ecstatic Sunlight, Ponytail released their first slab of infectious sugar-fueled two-guitar trad punk (Kamehameha on Creative Capitalism) in January of 2007. The Baltimore, MD, quartet highlighted drummer Jeremy Hyman, guitarist Ken Seeno, and various other guitarist (and Ecstatic Sunlight member) Dustin Wong, all fronted with the vast selection of noises that was vocalist Molly Siegel. Being successful critical praise because of their hyper loud live present that evoked components of heavy-duty riffage, yells, growls, artwork rock, surf rock and roll, ska, and Indian battle chants, the clothing of youngsters made an appearance on the South by Southwest music meeting in Austin, TX, in the first element of 2008. Their second record, Ice Cream Religious, made an appearance in June of 2008 on We Are Totally free Records. The music group continued hiatus this year 2010, with Wong launching a solo record on Thrill Jockey, Hyman drumming for the Boredoms and Seeno focusing on his very own music. Nevertheless, they reconvened quickly more than enough to concern their third record, Perform Whatever You Want On a regular basis, in early 2011.
