Pigface can be an industrial music collective directed by remixer/manufacturer/drummer Martin Atkins, who all ahead of forming the group in 1990, had lent his abilities to such clothes as Public Picture Ltd., Ministry, Nine Inches Nails, and Getting rid of Joke, in addition to heading his very own record label, Invisible. During Ministry’s 1989-1990 tour to get their classic YOUR BRAIN Is an awful Thing to Flavor recording, Atkins developed the thought of Pigface alongside then-Ministry drummer Expenses Rieflin. For every recording, Atkins would assemble a fresh lineup of option superstars, reflecting the anarchistic ideals of the initial punk rock rings from the mid-’70s. From 1990, Pigface has generated albums that range between bracing industrial sound to punk ravers to trance-like atmospherics, including such game titles as 1990’s Gub, 1991’s Thanks for visiting Mexico Asshole, 1992’s Fook, 1993’s Truth Will Out, 1994’s Records From Thee Underground, 1995’s FEELS AS THOUGH Heaven, 1997’s A FRESH Saturated in Low, and 1998’s Eat Shit, You Fucking Redneck (which had been issued via Unseen). Because the group’s inception, Pigface offers noticed countless renowned users from the punk/alt-rock community go through its rates, including Steve Albini, Martin Atkins, Paul Barker, Jello Biafra, Chris Connelly, Danny Carey (Device), Duane Denison (the Jesus Lizard), Flea, Chris Haskett (Rollins Music group), cEvin Important, Shonen Blade, Lydia Lunch time, John Lydon, Trent Reznor, Geordie Walker, Andrew Weiss, and David Yow, among countless others. March of 2001 noticed the release of the double-disc, 35-monitor long compilation, THE VERY BEST of Pigface: Preaching towards the Perverted. The 2003 recording Easy Hearing… was accompanied by five remix albums, all incorporating the term “mind” in to the name (Dubhead, Clubhead, etc.). Fook was reissued in 2005 with two reward discs. The limited-edition Mind Remixes adopted a year later on.
