Phoenix Thunderstone

The San Francisco-based Phoenix Thunderstorm filters cow-punk with the active, occasionally campy, indie roots-punk from the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. The music group is made up of Sean Heskitt (vocals, bass), Wendy Truck Dusen (electric guitar, vocals), Mike Huffman (drums) and Lemon de George (harmonica, percussion). The group agreed upon to the Mercury subsidiary Scratchie — a label founded by Adam Iha and Darcy from the Smashing Pumpkins — in 1996, launching their debut record Trip fo the Lawless in November of this year. It had been followed specifically a year afterwards by Stained Cup Trash.
