Philadelphia Experiment

A one-off studio room jam featuring indigenous Philadelphia music artists Ahmir Thompson (the Origins, Erykah Badu, Macy Grey, Musiq Soulchild), Christian McBride (McCoy Tyner, Kathleen Fight, Benny Golson, Benny Green, Ray Dark brown), and Uri Caine (Mickey Roker, Robert “Bootsie” Barnes, Don Byron), the Philadelphia Test players met for three breezy Sept times in 2000 in the Origins’ studio room space. Local close friends Pat Martino, John Swana, and Larry Yellow metal stopped directly into jam and lent their noises to several paths. A great, infectious, and funky day, The Philadelphia Test premiered on both Compact disc and double-LP vinyl fabric.
