Peter Frohmader

Peter Frohmader can be an innovator of the next era of German electronic music. Not the same as most electronic artists, he is just marginally influenced with the cosmic audio of Tangerine Wish or Klaus Schulze. His music results in the underworld and produces a sinister and nightmarish atmosphere. Frohmader provides released many albums, but many of them arrived on little brands, so they didn’t gain the eye they deserved. Currently a pupil, Peter Frohmader began to record tapes with alienated noises in the first ’70s and afterwards formed amateur rings like Kanaan and Alpha Centauri. In 1981, he released his first LP, Musik Aus dem Schattenreich. Frohmader got his motivation from films like Nosferatu, books of H.P. Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe, as well as the paintings of Hieronymus Bosch. So it’s unsurprising that especially the first works have become dark and troubling. The excessive usage of bass guitars next to the consumer electronics is dazzling. Peter Frohmader can be a talented painter and examined art and graphical design.
