Peech Boys

Alternately referred to as the brand new York Citi Peech Boys or N.Con.C. Peech Males, this underground funk rock and roll unit recorded among the early strikes in the brand new York home/garage picture with 1981’s “Don’t Make Me Wait around.” Despite documenting for Western End and Isle in the first ’80s, the Peech Males never managed to get from the gate commercially, despite trimming some intriguing tunes. Created by vocalist Bernard Fowler, Robert Kasper, Michael de Benedictus, Darryl Brief, and Steven Dark brown, the group arrived together beneath the wing of seminal DJ Larry Levan in the Heaven Garage. After very much club achievement with “Don’t Make Me Wait around,” the Peech Males documented an LP for Isle in 1983, but break up shortly after. Fowler continuing to are a history vocalist and arranger on songs for the Moving Rocks, Herbie Hancock, Gil Scott-Heron, Sly & Robbie, Yoko Ono, and Philip Cup, among others.
