Madison, WI-based emo quintet Paris, Tx formed in later 1997; originally composed of vocalist Scott Sherpe, guitarist Matt Managan and drummer Sam Vinz, the lineup quickly grew to add guitarist Nick Zinkgraf and bassist Matt Tennessen aswell. Documenting their 1998 debut demonstration with Rainer Maria’s Kyle Fischer, Paris, Tx next surfaced on the split one with Baby I’m a Superstar before putting your signature on to Polyvinyl to get a self-titled EP; the full-length WHICH MEANS YOU Think It’s Popular Here? implemented in the fall of 1999. Brazilliant was released a year afterwards.
