Palais Schaumburg

Similar in heart and geography to Der Program, Palais Schaumburg was a German post-punk/electronic-pop music group which has since become referred to as the starting pad for the profession of cult amount Holger Hiller. The Hamburg-based music group debuted in 1981 with Das One Kabinett, a six-song EP on ZickZack. They released their initial full-length record, Palais Schaumburg, the next calendar year on Kamera. Following its discharge, Hiller defected for the solo profession. The music group quickly surely got to focus on the LP Lupa, that was released afterwards in 1982 with the German branch of the Phonogram label. Rather remarkably, the recording added horns and hook jazz fusion impact to their audio. Their third and last recording, 1984’s Parlez-Vouz Schaumburg? (also released through Phonogram), threw some Latin and big music group touches in to the mix.
