O’Connor Band

The O’Connor Music group is a family group band in the fantastic bluegrass and country traditions, but one which happens to have one of the biggest instrumentalists of his generation in the lineup. The O’Connor Music group was founded by Tag O’Connor, the virtuoso violinist whose profession has encompassed nation, bluegrass, jazz, and traditional as he’s caused Stéphane Grappelli, David Grisman, Béla Fleck, Emmylou Harris, Itzhak Perlman, Chet Atkins, Yo-Yo Ma, and so many more. In 2014, Tag wedded Maggie O’Connor (previously Maggie Dixon), herself a gifted violinist who started playing at age 7 and researched with Herbert Greenberg in the Peabody Institute from the Johns Hopkins College or university, receiving a Experts of Music level in violin efficiency. Maggie soon started collaborating with Tag, executing with him on the highway, and they documented an album jointly, 2015’s Duo. On the other hand, Mark’s kid from his initial relationship, Forrest O’Connor, acquired dabbled in music, playing mandolin and electric guitar, before enrolling at Harvard to review business. But Forrest continuing playing mandolin as a spare time activity during time faraway from his research. After dealing with a technology startup for some time, he made a decision to go back to Nashville in 2014 and have a shot at a profession in music. He demonstrated his mettle by earning the Tennessee Condition Mandolin Tournament a couple of months after departing Massachusetts.
