Nina Stemme

Nina Stemme is a Swedish soprano who made her operatic debut in Cortona, Italy, in 1989, and has since performed a lot of the main functions in her vocal range. In 1994 she graduated from your National University of Opera in Stockholm, but experienced by that point already received the Operalia Globe Opera Competition, and performed with Plácido Domingo at concerts at La Bastille in 1993 and 1994. She’s recorded the component of Isolde double, once for EMI, performing with Domingo and executed by Antonio Pappano, and on PentaTone, performing with Stephen Gould and executed by Marek Janowski. Various other Wagnerian heroines she’s performed are Eva in Pass away Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Sieglinde in Pass away Walküre, Elsa in Lohengrin, and Brünnhilde in Der Band des Nibelungen in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA. She’s also sung the component of Leonore in Beethoven’s Fidelio, Marie in Berg’s Wozzeck, and Maria in Sandström’s Ordet.
