Naytronix

Naytronix is a single alias of Bloomington, Indiana local Nate Brenner, a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and maker known for taking part in bass for Merrill Garbus’ tUnE-yArDs. IN-MAY 2012, Brenner’s Naytronix released a self-titled four-track EP comprising a cover of Janet Jackson’s “What PERHAPS YOU HAVE Done for me personally Recently.” He adopted it 8 weeks later using the full-length Filthy Glow, a playfully sprawling mishmash of primitive digital pop, ramshackle disco-funk, and skewed chamber pop. Garbus, a horn section, and some additional instrumentalists pitched in while Brenner performed the majority of the music, from bass to drums to keyboards. The recording, just like the EP, was released within the Plug Study label. It had been adopted in 2015 from the full-length Mister Divine. Harvested from hours of materials written while on the highway with tUnE-yArDs and Naytronix, and documented at New, Improved Documenting in his used foundation of Oakland, California with guitarist Tag Allen-Piccolo and percussionist Robert Lopez, it required on a more reflective firmness than its forerunner, with an increase of articulate plans assimilating its experimental electro-pop.
