Nando Cordel

An effective lyricist employed in northeast Brazilian (xote, baião, frevo) along with other genres (salsa, reggae, etc.), Nando Cordel has already established his songs documented by Jorge de Altinho (“Com Você European union Vou,” “É Só Dengo Dengo,” and “Estrela perform Amor,” the second option with Dominguinhos), Maria Bethânia, Emílio Santiago, Zizi Possi, Netinho, Leandro e Leonardo, Fagner, Fafá de Belém, Amelinha, Guilherme Arantes, Nana Caymmi, Fábio Júnior, Roupa Nova, Martinho da Vila, Luiz Gonzaga, and Geraldo Azevedo. He documented 18 single albums through 2001 and has already established 500 of his compositions documented by diverse performers. He also experienced songs contained in countrywide cleaning soap operas like Roque Santeiro, Tieta, Pedra Sobre Pedra, Sexo dos Anjos, A Indomada, and Tropicaliente. With Dominguinhos, Cordel penned items like “Gostoso Demais,” “Faz de Mim,” and “Isso Aqui Tá Bom Demais.” The duo’s first creation, “De Volta Pro Meu Aconchego,” was a smash with Elba Ramalho’s rendition. She also documented “Jogo de Cintura,” “Doida,” “Tem Que Ter Molejo,” “Vem Ficar Comigo,” and “Vê Estrelas.” The vocalist and Television show host Xuxa experienced achievement with “Hoje É Dia de Folia” and “Brasil Argentina” (the second option in Argentina). Having performed around Brazil, Cordel also performed in Italy, Germany, and France.
