Mr. Little Jeans

Mr. Small Jeans may be the musical alias of Norwegian dance-pop vocalist/songwriter Monica Birkenes. Soon after completing her first group of demos in ’09 2009, Birkenes made a decision to adopt the Mr. Small Denims moniker, which can be taken from a little function in Wes Anderson’s 1998 film Rushmore. When her cover variations of well-known Beyoncé and Arcade Fireplace songs released her in to the open public eyesight via YouTube and SoundCloud, Mr. Small Jeans considered her very own music, landing effective spots on well-known Television shows like Gossip Young lady and films like Celeste and Jesse Forever and Iron Guy 3. Sketching on a synth-based dance-pop design that recalls performers like Kylie Minogue and Lykke Li, she inked a cope with EMI’s Harvest Information imprint in 2013. After relocating to LA to create and record her initial record, she released the nice Mistake EP in Feb 2014, quickly accompanied by her debut LP, Pocketknife, per month later. Dealing with collaborator Tim Anderson, Birkenes came back in 2016 using a follow-up EP Fevers, this time around for the Nettwerk label.
