From Austin’s flourishing psychedelic garage rock and roll scene, Reflection Travel perform a loose, sun-baked make of rock and roll & roll that’s simultaneously heavy, hypnotic, and atmospheric. The group is certainly focused around guitarist/vocalist Lauren Green and drummer Tiffanie Lanmon, who’ve been producing music jointly since 2003. Originally known as Stick to That Bird!, they started launching singles and adding to compilations about the start of the 2010s. Along with bassist/vocalist Paul Brinkley, the trio transformed its name to Reflection Travel in 2012 and documented its debut full-length in Marfa, Tx in 2013. Contemporary Outsider released the record, entitled Mexico, in Oct of that season. Paul Brinkley transferred to Philadelphia in 2014, however the group held playing gigs using a revolving ensemble of associates, playing at many Texas locations and celebrations, including SXSW and Austin Psych Fest. The group documented its second record, Cruise Offer, in Austin, but by enough time the record premiered in March of 2016, Green, Lanmon, and bassist Meredith Stoner acquired relocated to Taos, New Mexico.
