A Pittsburgh bassist who’s caused hard bop bandleaders and combos because the ’60s, Lee Odis “Mickey” Bass hasn’t recorded frequently as a leader. He’s used Chico Freeman, John Hicks, and Kiane Zawadi amongst others, and cut classes for Chiaroscuro and Early Parrot. Bass currently does not have any dates on CD like a leader.
