Metallic Taste of Blood certainly are a band of restless experimentalists who explore the external margins of instrumental rock, avant-garde jazz, dub, and experimental digital music. Led by guitarist Eraldo Bernocchi (Sigillum S, Owls) and bassist Colin Edwin (Porcupine Tree, Ex-Wise Minds), two music artists who connected up with approximately 50 many years of mixed recorded knowledge, Metallic Flavor of Bloodstream debuted in 2012 using a self-titled record. The lineup was done with drummer Balázs Pándi, a Merzbow associate who’d previously used Bernocchi and Edwin as Obake, and keyboardist Jamie Saft, whose past included use John Zorn and Wadada Leo Smith, among numerous others. For second record Doctoring the Deceased, a far more menacing place issued 3 years afterwards, Bernocchi and Edwin had been joined up with by another couple of underground veterans: drummer Ted Parsons (Swans, Prong) and keyboardist Roy Powell (InterStatic, Nude Truth). Both Metallic Flavor of Bloodstream albums had been released on RareNoise, a label controlled by Bernocchi and Giacomo Bruzzo.
