Chicago natives Mental Insect grew from a studio-only noise test to a full-blown band inside a ten-year period. Beginning 1st with knob-twiddler Frank Zibel and guitarist Jim Cup, the first fifty percent from the ’90s was spent just producing music aware of no live store. In June 1997, both men made a decision to begin rehearsing for any live show, you start with a drum machine but ultimately realizing they required a genuine drummer. Finding Nate Wiencken in the tail end of 1999, they employed him on as their drummer and released Live in the Big Equine Lounge after an effective performance.
