Maximillian Colby

The sadly obscure band Maximillian Colby was for the forefront of post punk music descended from East Coast hardcore. Like Jawbox, the music group were able to match an intense clamor with somber melodies and became renowned to a little group of committed supporters. Maximillian Colby started over the campus of Adam Madison School in Harrisonburg, Virginia in the first 90s with Dave Nesmith and Drew Ringo on electric guitar and vocals, Bob Baynor on bass and vocals and Tom Richards on drums. Their initial 7″ on Washington D.C.’s Nervous Wreck Children established the features of their audio – intricate compositions no limitations. The music group had two music on Whirled Information compilations and released their little-known traditional split 12″ using the Canadian music group Shotmaker. In 1995, Maximillian Colby was however cut short because of the unexpected loss of life of Bob Baynor. Third , tragedy, Nesmith and Ringo continued to create Sleepytime Trio with Ben Davis and Jonathan Fuller.
