Masakazu Yoshizawa

Masakazu Yoshizawa was created in Japan but was educated within the American musical custom. He received his level in the Tokyo School of Great Arts. Yoshizawa is really a multi-instrumentalist playing such traditional Japanese equipment because the shakuhachi, shinobue, hichiriki, among others, in addition to such Western equipment because the clarinet, saxophone, as well as other woodwinds. He’s an active studio room musician and performs in live concerts world-wide. A composer for most musical forms, including Japanese forms, Yoshizawa provides performed on many soundtracks, including Jurassic Recreation area, Dragon: The Bruce Lee Tale, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III. He spent some time working and documented with such music artists as Osamu Kitajima, Carlos Nakai, the Crusaders, Berlin, Toshiko Akiyoshi, John Williams, and Henry Mancini. In 1993, alongside Tateo Takahashi on tsugaru shamisen and Hiromi Hashibe on koto, Yoshizawa produced japan ensemble Kokin Gumi. Their repertoire mixes traditional Japanese equipment with synthesizers, executing traditional, modern, and primary compositions.
