Marie Adams

b. Ollie Marie Givens, 19 Oct 1925, Linden, Tx, USA. Known affectionately as ‘Television Mama’ (the main one using the big, wide display) by her co-workers in the Johnny Otis music group, vocalist Marie Adams started her recording profession in Houston, Tx, for the neighborhood Peacock label in 1952, followed from the rings of Expenses Harvey, Chuck Dillon and Pluma Davis, getting achievement with her 1st launch, ‘I’m Gonna Play The Honky Tonks’. Covering Johnny Ace’s ‘My Music’ in 1953 at a Peacock program in NEW YORK using the Cherokee Conyers Orchestra (a cut-down Friend Johnson device), she became a member of Johnny Otis’ music group, staying before past due 50s and showing up on Otis recordings for Peacock and, as business lead singer using the Three A GREAT DEAL OF Pleasure, for Capitol Information on such pop rock and roll ‘n’ move classics as ‘Ma, He’s Producing Eye At Me’, ‘In The Dark’ and ‘What WOULD YOU LIKE TO Make Those Eye At Me For’. In the first 60s she produced records in LA for certain Play and Encore Performers. She was back again performing using the Three A GREAT DEAL OF Pleasure and was on a global tour with Otis in 1972, but she actually is believed to have got died shortly soon after.
