Margo Rey

Vocalist, songwriter, dancer, celebrity, and philanthropist Margo Rey is a classically trained vocalist known on her behalf own cross-genre pop music and looks in Broadway musicals. Created Margarita Reymundo-Jurado in Acapulco, Mexico in 1966, Rey was raised in Dallas, Tx, where she had taken traditional vocal lessons. By her teenagers, Rey was the business lead vocalist in the all-female rock-band the Debutantes, who created a strong regional following and documented one self-produced record. Through the ’90s, Rey sang with many outfits, like the Ritual as well as the Latin fusion ensemble Miss Margo & the Shed Souls. In the past due ’90s, professional Edward Adam Olmos suggested Rey for the function of Selena’s mom, Marcella, in the Broadway creation of Selena Forever, that was based on the life span of the past due tejano pop superstar. In 2012, Rey shipped her sophomore full-length recording, Habit, including the John Oates co-penned solitary “Allow Rain.”
