In the later ’70s, a mysterious album — bearing only the term Yodship in the cover — was documented and privately pressed. The reason why it draws in some interest among hardcore enthusiasts is its link with the ten roughly previous records performed by disciples of Dad Yod, beneath the brands Dad Yod & the Heart of ’76, Yahowa 13, and Fireplace, Water, Air. Certainly this LP originated from the same group of Yod supporters and possibly contains a number of the music artists who participated in the last projects. The prior aggregations of Dad Yod-affiliated musical efforts had been spaced-out, anachronistic late-period psychedelia, generally. Yodship, however, is definitely even more subdued.
