Marble Valley

Marble Valley was the single task of longtime Pavement drummer Steve Western world, born Dec 8, 1966, in Charlottesville, VA. After participating in senior high school with upcoming Pavement bandmate Bob Nastanovich, he examined artwork at Virginia Commonwealth School before relocating to NEW YORK and working being a Whitney Museum protection safeguard alongside another upcoming Pavement collaborator, frontman Stephen Malkmus. Once the famed indie group dismissed drummer Gary Teen in 1993, Western world was tapped as his substitute, producing his debut the next year in the very much acclaimed Crooked Rainfall, Crooked Rain. The very first Marble Valley record, Sauckiehall Street, made an appearance in 1997; Sunset Sprinkler implemented three years afterwards. Following a six-year break, the 3rd full-length record, Crazy Yams, premiered.
