Chicago native M-Doc first surfaced being a producer and remixer, with a summary of credits including projects for Madonna, Janet Jackson and Keith Perspiration. He released his single rap debut General Poet in 1991, implemented four years afterwards by From the Summertime Thang; another four-year difference preceded the discharge of his third LP, Youthful, Black, Wealthy and Famous.
