Lost Lander

An evocative indie rock and roll outfit from Portland, Oregon founded by songwriter, forester, and touring person in Ramona Falls Matt Sheehy, Shed Lander crafts organized, melody-driven indie pop with an focus on the bucolic. Steeped in the lush and overcast patina from the Pacific Northwest, Shed Lander’s 2011 debut recording, DRRT, which centered on the junction of character and technology, presented production function from Menomena’s Brent Knopf. As very much a collaborator being a manufacturer, Knopf’s idiosyncratic creation design complemented Sheehy’s pastoral and frequently enigmatic tracks. Sarah Fennell (keyboards), Patrick Hughes (drums), and William Seiji Marsh (bass) became a member of the group and Knopf sat in the creation seat for the band’s second long-player, 2015’s electro-tinged and heartfelt Medallion, which shifted its concentrate towards the heady topics of love, reduction, life, and loss of life.
