Lisle Ellis

Bassist Lisle Ellis initial found light via his past due-’80s and early-’90s collaborations with fellow Canadian, pianist Paul Plimley. Ellis continued to collaborate with a number of free jazz performers on the Western world Coastline, including clarinetist François Houle, drummer Donald Robinson, and violinist India Cooke. Various other partners have got included such North California-based music artists as saxophonist Glenn Spearman, pianist Matthew Goodheart, and saxophonist Larry Ochs. With Ochs and Robinson, Ellis produced the trio WHAT WE SHOULD Reside in the middle-’90s; the group provides recorded for both Dark Saint and ” NEW WORLD ” labels. Ellis today lives in the U.S. and can be an energetic participant in the SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA Bay Area free of charge jazz picture.
