Lisa Knowles & The Brown Singers of Memphis, Tennessee

Feminine gospel quartet the Dark brown Singers were shaped in Memphis, Tennessee in the past due ’70s by Willie Mae Richmond (whose maiden name was Dark brown) and quickly garnered a subsequent because of their beautiful and energetic vocal performances. Richmond’s granddaughter, Lisa Knowles, joined up with the quartet when she was nine years of age but still in the 5th quality, and by enough time she changed 12, she was the lead vocalist.
