Linden

Linden may be the functioning name for Scottish vocalist/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Joe McAlinden. Hailing from Bellshill, Lanarkshire, Scotland, McAlinden started playing music in his teenagers and was an associate of such formative ’80s acoustic guitar pop rings as the Boy Hairdressers as well as the Groovy Small Numbers, which presented potential Teenage Fanclub founders Norman Blake and Gerard Like, respectively. In the ’90s, McAlinden briefly became a member of the seminal Scottish pop music group the BMX Bandits before developing the group Superstar. After liberating many acclaimed albums on Creation Information, Superstar split up in 2000 and McAlinden required a couple of years off from documenting his personal music. In 2011, McAlinden was authorized to music impresario Wayne Endeacott and previous Orange Juice frontman Edwyn Collin’s AED Information. In 2012, operating beneath the name Linden, he released his full-length debut recording, Bleached Shows. His second single effort Rest and become Thankful found its way to June 2015.
