Dallas, TX, local Lil’ Wil initial entered the Billboard graphs using the bouncy, Southern dance monitor, “My Dougie,” in past due 2007 and early 2008. Wil Martin was created in New Orleans, but shifted to Dallas at 11 years. His rap profession began to remove after shifting to Atlanta in 2002. Quickly associated with an up-and-coming DJ Toomp, Lil’ Wil released several road albums, but under no circumstances made much improvement there in the mixtape picture. He came back to Dallas and finally installed with reggae musician Rude Bwoy, who began up Rude Bwoy Entertainment and agreed upon Wil to his fledgling imprint. Initial released in 2007, the “My Dougie” one spent weeks on several rap and R&B graphs, eventually garnering him a cope with Asylum. The single’s remix also obtained plenty of airplay and highlighted 2007 breakout superstar Soulja Boy.
