Leslie West

Leslie Western first gained reputation because the lead guitarist for the Vagrants, a locally popular 1960s Long Isle group. Among that group’s singles was made by Felix Pappalardi, a bass participant who also created Cream. Following the Vagrants and Cream split, Pappalardi performed bass on and created West’s debut single album, Hill (July 1969). After its release, both teamed up with drummer Norman Wise (soon changed by Corky Laing) and key pad participant Steve Knight to create the band Hill, which slice the albums Climbing! (Feb 1970; a gold-selling LP offering the very best 40 solitary “Mississippi Queen”), Nantucket Sleighride (January 1971; which also went yellow metal), and Blossoms of Bad (November 1971). This is accompanied by a Hill studio record, Avalanche (July 1974), created by Western world, Pappalardi, Laing, and Knight. After that Hill split once again, and Western world produced the Leslie Western world Band, releasing THE FANTASTIC Fatsby (Apr 1975) (which highlighted Mick Jagger) as well as the Leslie Western world Music group (1976) (which highlighted Mick Jones, afterwards of Foreigner). Bedeviled by drug abuse complications, Western world retired from music for a while, then solved and once again re-formed Hill with Laing and bassist Tag Clarke (Pappalardi acquired passed away in 1983) for Choose YOUR DAILY LIFE (March 1985).
