Les Double Six

French group shaped by Mimi Perrin in 1959. Perrin was innovator and primary arranger; she added lyrics to jazz choices. The name was produced from practice of superimposing two independent recordings, departing impression there have been 12 performers. The group liked some notoriety with classes featuring support from American visitor celebrities like Quincy Jones, Benny Bailey, Dizzy Gillespie and Jerome Richardson. Perrin led second vesion of the group in 1965; when she became ill, Jef Gilson attempted to hold music group together, however they break up in 1966.
