Keegan DeWitt

The folk music of Keegan DeWitt, a singer/songwriter who studied film composition in college, is orchestrated with all the current sweeping, grand ornamentations of the film score. DeWitt was raised in central Oregon, where he created a pastime in screenwriting and started making some short films along with his friend Aaron Katz. When both reached their higher teens, Katz going to NEW YORK to review directing on the North Carolina College from the Arts, while DeWitt enrolled at SUNY Buy and relocated to NY. The two continuing working together regardless of the mls between them, with DeWitt composing the musical ratings to Katz’s 3rd party films. Among their collaborations, Dance Party USA, was hailed by THE BRAND NEW York Times as you of 2006’s greatest movies. While DeWitt proved helpful as an professional and composer in NEW YORK, he also started composing shorter, folk-influenced tracks and released his initial batch of materials, Songs through the Byrd Chorus, in 2003. 3 years afterwards, he released the sophomore record Keegan DeWitt & the Sparrows by himself label, Dual Coastline Company Documenting. Although DeWitt also toured with Roman Candle as the music group’s short-term guitarist, his single career begun to pick up significant vapor, and he shortly signed using the United kingdom label Izumi Information and released his first standard LP, Islands, in ’09 2009.
