Called after Mars Blackman, a figure in Spike Lee’s NIKE JORDANS campaign from your ’80s, rapper Mars Dark got his begin in Omaha, NE, before shifting to N.Con.C. to focus on his hip-hop profession. Instead of putting your signature on a cope with Poor Young man or Def Jam, he produced a surprise proceed to Conor Oberst’s Group Love label, getting the only real rapper on the roster of mainly indie rock and roll, indie electro, and folk performers.
