Katy Goodman

Katy Goodman (sometimes billed by her nickname, Kickball Katy) is a singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist whose profession encompasses energetic punk rock and roll as well while thoughtful, melodic pop. Created in NJ, Goodman first found the interest of music followers as the bassist using the Brooklyn-based pop-punk trio the Vivian Ladies. Created in 2007, the group produced a large splash within the Brooklyn picture using their debut recording, 2008’s I CANNOT Stay, plus they quickly developed a global following. This year 2010, Goodman created a side task, All Saints Day time, with Gregg Foreman of Kitty Power as well as the Delta 72. The group became short-lived, releasing an electronic EP before fading out, but her following project could have higher longevity. After shifting to California, Goodman released La Sera, a sunnier and even more pop-oriented group where she partnered with Todd Wisenbaker. La Sera quickly signed using the Sub Pop-distributed Barely Artwork label, and released their self-titled debut recording in Feb 2011. Goodman divided her time taken between Vivian Ladies and La Sera until January 2014, when Vivian Ladies announced these were splitting up. As La Sera continuing to tour and record, in 2016 Goodman released a cooperation with Greta Morgan of Springtime Carnivore as well as the Hush Audio. Their recording, Consider It, It’s Yours, was a assortment of understated and atmospheric addresses of well-remembered punk and brand-new wave music. La Sera and Springtime Carnivore lay out on the joint tour to get the record in Oct 2016.
