The Jupiter Affect has a lineup of pop underground veterans. Bassist and vocalist Michael Quercio not merely coined the word “Paisley Underground” (to spell it out the slew of ’60s-slanted psychedelic pop rings in L.A.) during an interview in the first ’80s, but he was also in the forefront from the picture as an associate from the Salvation Military as well as the Three O’ Time clock. Quercio joined Long term Green Light following the Three O’Clock split up, and in 1997, he created the Jupiter Affect with PGL drummer Chris Bruckner and guitarists Dan Epstein (ex-Lava Sutra) and Jason Shapiro (ex-Celebrity Pores and skin). Building around the users’ origins in ultra-melodic power pop, the group debuted having a self-titled EP on Aerial Flipout in 1998. Guidelines for both Ways of Getting Alice noticed the re-teaming of Quercio with engineer/maker Earle Mankey, who experienced caused him within the Three O’Clock and Long term Green Light, utilizing their expertise around the production ideals of classic, past due-’60s pop and rock and roll records to complete potential.
