Jules Munshin

b. 22 Feb 1915, NEW YORK, NY, USA, d. 19 Feb 1970, NEW YORK, NY, USA. Munshin worked well in vaudeville like a comedian and track and dance guy before learning to be a Broadway celebrity. During World Battle II he made an appearance while still in standard; this is in the Military Play-by Play, FINISH OFF Your Problems (1943). Soon after the battle he was a big successes in Contact Me Mister (1946). This resulted in many 40s musical movies including Easter Parade (1948) and Consider Me Out To The PASTIME (1949). Also in 1949 arrived That Midnight Kiss (that was Mario Lanza’s display debut), and OUT, the film that produced Munshin’s name beyond your USA. Munshin produced some more movies in the 50s and 60s, including Monte Carlo Baby (1951), Ten 1000 Rooms (1957), Silk Stockings (1957), Crazy And Fantastic (1964), and Monkeys, GO BACK HOME! (1967). His last film part was a little bit component in Mastermind (1976). Through the 50s and 60s Munshin was noticed on Broadway and on tv. His stage displays included Bless You All (1950), Mrs. McThing (1952), THE NICE Soup (1960), Display Girl, The Homosexual Existence (both 1961), and he is at alternative casts for Barefoot In The Recreation area, which had opened up in 1963, and LEADING Page, starting 1969. His tv looks included Shirley Temple’s Storybook, playing Ichabod Crane within an show entitled The Story Of Sleepy Hollow (1958), The Emperor’s Clothing (1960), individual shows of Car 54, Where Are You? (1963), Dr Kildare (1964), and a 1968 tv creation of Kiss Me Kate.
