Rochester, NY indie electro music group Joywave began this year 2010, formed by vocalist Daniel Armbruster, guitarist Joseph Morinelli, bassist Sean Donnelly, keyboardist Travis Johansen (afterwards replaced by Benjamin Bailey), and drummer Paul Brenner.
